My 2022 Gymshark 66 Pledge

Gymshark are great believers that it takes 66 days to change your life and build healthy habits that you are going to stick to. That is why they created the Gymshark66 challenge in a bid to get more people creating those habits and becoming better versions of themselves. Now I tried this last year but for a number of reasons I had to stop which certainly frustrated me as I was making good progress but my health just wasn't on my side and there was no need to risk further set backs in aid of completing this challenge. I am doing much better now though and I am determined to make those first 66 days of 2022 count and build habits that are going to continue beyond those first 66 days of the year. There are a few pledges that I am going to be making and sticking to throughout the 66 days and beyond as I know that if I can become consistent in them then I am going to be a much better version of me than in previous years and this will help me in so many areas of my life. So here are the pledges I am making for this years Gymshark66...

Try Have A More Positive Attitude
This is a big one for me as I am letting my mental health and a negative attitude on things really effect my progress not only on my fitness journey but also in my daily life with my blogging etc. I am letting a negative attitude derail my fitness journey and set me back but not any more I am going to have a more positive outlook on getting up early to get a workout in and a more positive outlook on the food I am putting into my body rather than being so negative. I have noticed my negative attitude leads to skipped meals or junk food & takeaways so it is time to change that and think positive when it comes to meal times. I am also hoping a more positive attitude will lead to better quality content on my blogs, especially Edge of the Area where I am really hoping to grow and work on new ideas throughout 2022.

Try Build A Morning Routine To Stick To
This is something I have wanted to do for a while but just haven't managed to stick to yet. I am hoping that a morning routine will get my day started the right way and help me have a much better day. My current morning routine is get up, get ready and go to work as simple as that but I really want to start my day at a better pace. I am hoping to include a skincare routine, a workout and breakfast into my routine and stick to it for the 66 days and beyond. Fingers crossed this one really does work as I just know it is going to help me in so many ways as I definitely get more stressed when mornings are one big rush.

Cycle From Valley Parade To The Artemio Franchi Stadium
Now this is going to be the big challenge for the 66 days that I want to push myself to complete. I have an exercise bike at home that is basically getting neglected however, I know that using it actually helps my bad knee. So I though as a fun challenge I would use my love of football and my love for the Bradford City and Fiorentina football clubs and push myself to virtually cycle from Bradford's stadium to Fiorentina's. In 66 days I need to cycle 2,062km which is going to be a huge task but I know that I am more than capable of doing it. I am really looking forward to doing this challenge and pushing myself.

I am really looking forward to starting the Gymshark66 on the 1st of January I know it is going to be 66 days of pushing myself and improving my life in so many areas, the cycling is going to be a tough one but I am sure I can do it if I really put my mind to it and use that positive thinking to get the most out of it. The first 66 days of the year area going to be tough with this pledge but it is all going to be worth it in the end. Now I think I need to buy some cycling shorts to get ready for this...
