Last Week #69

Another week closer to Christmas means things really are in full swing. Making sure I have all the presents bought, not missing anything, got the house all decorated. Last week was definitely quite a busy one which unfortunately saw a lack of blog posts, I think this may be the case now until after Christmas when I can get back out taking images for upcoming posts. So here is what I had...

Been Watching : I finally watched the animated Grinch film after we put our Christmas tree up and I loved it. I have also been watching plenty of YouTube as I am loving all the Vlogmas videos.

Been reading : All I read last week were blog posts.

Been listening to : All that has been on is a lot of Christmas songs especially Justin Bieber's Christmas album.

Bought :  I stuck to just buying gifts for people or at least I tried to... I ended up getting a football sticker album.

Plans for this week : I really want to start planning for 2020 and how the blog is going to be next year. I want to sit and map out some ideas and goals for the year and actually fill out my diary. I also want to make sure everything is done ready for Christmas day so I can relax in the few days before it.

Last weeks posts : Last Week #68.

So there you have it that was my week. What have you guys been up to?

Last Week #68

Typical, another year where in the build up to Christmas I haven't been well. Last week I ended up with another bad cold and I am still suffering at the moment. I didn't let it stop me though, I went to the gym, got my haircut, went to the football, got some Christmas shopping done and even managed to do some clearing out around the house. Things in the house are really starting to take shape, we are nearly ready to wallpaper the spare room and we now have doors on all the rooms upstairs for a change. I just can't wait until it is all complete and our rooms are back to how they should be, the games room is full of a mixture of things lately. So here is what I had...

Been Watching :  YouTube was definitely my friend once again, I would go home from work feeling sorry for myself and just watch anything in my YouTube subscription box.

Been reading : Once again nothing, when I am not feeling well that is the last thing I want to do.

Been listening to : Thanks to my nephew I ended up listening to Elvis once again but that was mixed with The Stone Roses, The Smiths and of course Justin Bieber's Christmas Album.

Bought : I was quite good last week, only really buying Christmas presents for family. I also managed to pick up a Philadelphia Eagles jersey.

Plans for this week : I really want to get all the Christmas presents that are dotted around the house wrapped and put away ready for Christmas day. I also want to get all the doors painted and the skirting in the spare room glossed so we can get moving onto the next step in there, if we could get the bulk of it done before Christmas that would be fantastic. Fingers crossed we can put the Christmas tree up this week too.

So there you have it that was my week. What have you guys been up to?

Shopping For the New Bathroom

One of my favourite parts about getting the bathroom done has been shopping around for the accessories to go in it. I wanted to go for an all grey scheme so it fit in with the rest of the room / house and it has worked really well. So here is what we have picked up so far...

The toilet roll holder caused so many issues, I wanted a free standing one in grey, I saw one and then couldn't remember where I actually saw it, everyone thought I was going mad. Then my mum found this one in Wilkinson's for just £5.00, it is really good quality too and actually matches well with the other bits we bought elsewhere.

Our bin and toilet brush came from Next and I was actually pretty surprised to see how reasonably priced the items were, I always thought Next was a little overpriced but after looking around for these bathroom bits I have realised it really isn't. We were originally going to get a circular bin but ended up picking up this rectangular one as all this items in the bathroom have a squared corner.

We were left with a small space between our 2 windows in the room and this is where we wanted our mirrored cabinet to go, it took a while to find one that was small enough to fit but we ended up purchasing one from Argos for just £30.00. We have now had this put up and it is a brilliant fit, it is almost like it was just made for that space.

Who knew finding a bath mat would prove such a task as well? I think we looked at about 5 before we settled on this one, it is super soft and just as it says on the label it dries really fast meaning no water soaked in it for hours on end. I hope it lasts a while too and the bobble part doesn't get too worn out too soon.

Just to put on the windowsill or at the side of the sink we got this little grey tumbler. This is perfect for just putting our toothbrushes and toothpaste in, it just makes it look tidier. Finally my auntie & uncle treated us to some new towels to make the colour scheme. Liam ended up picking a nice yellow, white and grey set whilst I opted for a grey striped velour set and it is unbelievably soft, there were a few comments (yes I am talking about you mum) where I was told that a velour towel would not dry me but I can confirm it dries me 10 x faster than our previous ones.

Now all we need to do is find some nice baskets to go on our shelves once they are up just to complete the whole room. I can't wait to show you it once it is complete as it is a totally different room.

See you soon

November 2019 Favourites

The penultimate month of the year has come to an end and the end of the year is edging closer. November was a family & football filled month with some absolutely fantastic things been thrown my way, which still seems unreal to me. Although I have had a pretty busy month I haven't really had many favourites, just the occasional few and here they are...

I think it is safe to say my main fashion favourite for the month has to be my grey puffer style jacket from Primark which I got for Christmas last year. This jacket has been brilliant it is in fact from their workout range so it keeps you warm but doesn't make you too warm. It has also kept me dry in the downpours we have had.

Another favourite has to be my new Nike Air Max 200's granted I haven't worn these yet as I am worried about them getting ruined in this weather, I need to dig my trusty Crep Protect out to get these protected so I can get wearing them but they just look brilliant. I got them for a bargain price too so that makes it even better.

I now have a feature page in the Bradford City women's programme which is absolutely crazy, who would have thought my football ramblings would actually end up printed somewhere other than my blog. We even went to an event in Manchester for the football blog, November just went full on football mode which included not just the 1 trip to Manchester, but we in fact went twice in one week.

It has also been a brilliant month for just spending time with family, with the bathroom been done I wanted to spend as much time as possible away from the mess which worked perfectly as it meant more time with my nephew.

There is one favourite in this section and it is a big one, our bathroom has had a complete makeover. I will be doing a full blog post on this very soon (once it is fully complete) but I can't believe this difference it has made to the house. We no longer have 2 separate rooms and it is now just one big one it is a lot more relaxing too.

Health & Fitness
The Gymshark blackout sale was my only fitness favourite through November as we were really slacking getting to the gym & working out. But the blackout sale meant I could finally pick up a few more items to wear now we are back into the swing of things.

So there you have it those are my favourites from November what were yours?

See you soon

Last Week #67

How is it December already now? That final week of November absolutely flown by and now I am getting ready to get sorted for Christmas, poor Liam had me asking him to get the Christmas tree out of the loft plenty of times throughout last week but he wasn't having any of it. Last week was a pretty good one the bathroom is basically done, there is just a few little bits left to do and then it will complete. There was also plenty of family time which has been absolutely fantastic. So here is what I had...

Been Watching :  YouTube is all I had watched but to be honest I haven't watched half as much of it as I have done in previous weeks. I have mainly watched Sidemen, fitness and decorating videos.

Been reading : Does reading my future blog posts back count?

Been listening to : The Frozen soundtracks had been on quite a bit but for some reason I also fell back into listening to Fifth Harmony.

Bought :  With Friday being black Friday the deals were in full swing all week. I managed to pick up a few bits from Gymshark, My Protein and even a few bits from Amazon. I also managed to get a few bits for the bathroom too.

Plans for this week : I am hoping to get out and get some blog photos taken during next week, we have another party to go to and 2 football matches so it is definitely a busy one. In between all that I also need to clear out the top of the wardrobe, my workout drawer and our protein/supplement cupboard.

Last weeks posts : Is This Called Growing Up? A Haul.

So there you have it that was my week. What have you guys been up to?
