What I got for christmas 2016

I can't believe Christmas has been and gone already. It doesn't seem like two minutes ago it was the start of 2016. Here are just a few of the things I was lucky enough to receive this year.

First up is my Bruce Springsteen book, I have wanted this for ages and as soon as this was released it was on my wishlist. I also got the poor unfortunate soul book which I can't wait to read as I am obsessed with the little mermaid film. I also got this budget planner which I am hoping actually helps me keep track of my money as lately it just seems to disappear.

Everyone knows I am obsessed with bath bombs lately. My mum and dad got me this super cute star wars tin filled with wilko's bath bombs and Liam's family got me plenty of lush to keep me going.

Next up is plenty more figures. My dad got me this cute little Olaf to add to my Disney traditions collection. I then got these 2 Star Wars figures from my parents and the Dishonored 2 Emily figure from Liam.

I have wanted a new backpack for ages so it was an added bonus when both my parents and grandparents got me this Sooty backpack. Although I have 2 you can't have enough Sooty.

My sister added to my tsum tsum collection once again with this amazing Disney princess collection. My parents also got me the Suicide Squad pajamas because you can never have too many pj's.

Just like Pj's you can never have too many pairs of socks this year I got suicide squad and Pokemon sets. I also got this amazing Pokemon bedding set because what 22 year old doesn't want Pokemon bedding.

I love this little Harry Potter chalkboard I received I just need to find a use for it. My grandparents also got me a Canada water candle, due to my obsession with copper and anything Canadian. They also got me this Vo5 set as I am apparently always doing my hair.

My parents also got me the Lego dimensions starter pack and my dads family started my figure collection going for the game.

This mouse and keyboard I got from my grandparents and I am already in love with them. I will be featuring a review very soon so keep and eye out for that.

So there you have it that is just a bit of what I got for Christmas this year. What did you get? Let me know in the comments below or link your post.

This week #4

This week has been spent finally sorting out my gaming corner. It doesn't look too spectacular however I am happy to have all my old consoles in one place. I have also managed to get back into my gaming routine now I have finished Archer. Next week I am aiming to get into a more settled routine and I am also heading down to London.

This week I have.

Been watching : I have finally finished Archer but I am now working my way through Bojack Horseman.

Been reading : This has just been the Playstation and Xbox magazines. As part of my new routine I am hoping to start reading on a night.

Been playing : Call of Duty has been what I have started playing through. I can't wait to start playing through this more and more.

Been listening to : Lucy Spraggan has been top of my playlist lately and I can't get enough of her.

Bought : There is far too much, check out my previous haul posts to see what I have been buying.

So there you have it that's my week. How has your week been?

Lynx review*

A few weeks back I tweeted about the new Lynx products and which was best for me to try. I was then reached by the lovey Lynx team who sent me these products to give a try. So after a few weeks of testing I am finally getting around to review this.

The Lynx team sent me the Iced musk and Ginger daily fragrance along with the matching antiperspirant.

First up is the daily fragrance which is described on the can as 'Iced musk and ginger. A sharp icy fresh fragrance that kick starts your adrenaline fueled day.' I love this sent it isn't too weak but at the same time isn't too overpowering. I have been wearing this daily. Just a spray on the body, wrists and neck and you are set for the day. The fragrance lasts and soaks into the skin perfectly so you aren't just left with a layer of shiny spray which I have had with some sprays. I love the scent too along with it not been too overpowering I have found it suits me as it isn't too masculine which is perfect for me as it doesn't raise too many questions.

Next up is the matching antiperspirant. Although this says on the can it is 48 hour I do spray this daily just to make sure I am smelling good daily. I can't wait to try more of these scents in the future as due to the lasting of the product and how good they smell I will definitely be repurchasing these in the future. I have honestly loved this product as I am always getting paranoid on how I smell and thanks to these I stay smelling good no matter what.

So there you have it have you tried the Lynx daily fragrance sets? What do you think?

*These products were sent to me for the purpose of a review on the blog. All opinions in this post are my own.

Geeky clothing haul

You really can't beat Primark for clothing especially when it has something to do with games too. I made the mistake of calling in just after pay day and here is the damage.

This Call of Duty jumper was the first thing I picked up at £12 it is a real steal. I made sure to buy this in a bigger size so it is super comfy to sit and game in.

Any one who know me knows I love Assassins creed so this tee at £8 was a must. Especially with the movie coming up I know have something to wear when I go watch it.

Next up was these super comfy Pokemon pajamas. These are only £12 but I am already in love with them, they are perfect for just lounging around in. I have my eyes on the Call of Duty and Assassins creed ones now.

Next up is this bargain £5 Assassins Creed t-shirt. I can't wait to wear this with my shirts just to top of my daily look.

Next stop was Tesco because for some reason my mum has decided we have to wear Christmas t-shirts for Christmas day. This one was only one that was jumping out at me but I think it is perfect for me and cost only £10.

Last stop was HMV. This wasn't for clothing but to take advantage of the 3 Disney DVD's for £20 offer. I have been looking for this Lilo and Stitch for a long time now so had to get it along with my two other favourites Aladdin and Hercules.

So there you have it that is one of my hauls there will be another up later in the week as once again I have spent up.

Gunk Go shampoo

I used to find it an absolute nightmare to get rid of all the hair products I used daily. But then I stumbled across this Vo5 Gunk Go shampoo in my local poundland. This is my 4th bottle of this shampoo and unfortunately I can't find it any more so I guess I am on the look out for something similar now.

What I love most about this is that it does exactly what it says on the bottle the gunk really does go. Daily I use the Vo5 fluff tamer, Lynx styling clay and Johnny's chop shop hairspray so I need to get rid of all the gunk out. It doesn't take a lot of this shampoo to do the job just a small pea size amount works just fine, meaning this lasts quite a while. Once this has been used my hair is back to it's normal fluffy out of control self.

If I could find this again I would definitely buy a lot of bottles just to get stocked up. Can you recommend a replacement for this product? Let me know on twitter or in the comments below.

Hair haul

So once again the no spending has gone straight out of the window. Once again it is hair products I have bought like I need any more. I love when boots do 3 for 2 and when you can find complete bargains in the poundshop. So here is what I bought.

I went into Poundland just to see if they had anything in as sometimes you can pick up some great products. Lone behold I found these Fish hair products, now in boots these can vary in price up to something like £8.99. Been a big fan of trying new hair products there was no way I was leaving these behind. I managed to pick up the Soho Kingfisher wax and this sculpting stick I haven't seen anywhere else before. I can't wait to try both these products out.

I then went to my local candle shop Tigers eye where I finally managed to get my hands on the barbershop Yankee candle. I had been looking for this for a while and after just a few burns so far I am loving it. But that is all going to be in another post another day.

Next stop was the boots 3 for 2 on men's hair care offer. This has given me the perfect chance try out the Johnny's chop shop range. I first saw the range on Instagram and knew instantly I had to give it a go. On the offer I picked up 2 hairsprays, 1 can of hobo hair dry shampoo,  1 shampoo and a texturising spray. My other half also got the moisturiser from this range. Again this is all I will say on this as I do have another post planned soon.

So there you go as you can see the spending ban is going well. Have any products you recommend let me know in the comments below.

This week #2

This week has flown for me. It doesn't feel two minutes since it was Halloween and now we are counting down for Christmas. I have literally just got back from a small pub crawl for my uncle's birthday. This was perfect due to spending time with the family. Next week I am determined to loose a little weight because my eating this week has been terrible. I have also barely done anything after work as I have been trying to clear my room ready for Christmas and so I can finally clear the loft ready for my games room.

This week I have.

Been watching : As I have just said above most of my time has been spent cleaning however I have watched the odd couple of football matches.

Been reading : I haven't read anything lately but I really do need to start again.

Been playing : This has also been put on the back burner for cleaning so unfortunately I haven't played anything.

Been listening to : Whilst cleaning I have been blasting Shura and Tegan and Sara as usual.

Bought : Once again I have gone and bought more hair products and even a barbershop scented Yankee candle.

So there you have it that's my week. How has your week been?

October favourites

This month has been great for me I had a lovely weekend away with my family and managed to complete stoptober which I never thought I would be able to do. I have desperately been trying to get my room cleared out so I can make a start on cleaning the loft ready for my games room which is taking a lot more time than I originally thought.

So here is what I have been loving in October.

Lynx natural styling clay
I am hooked on this I bought it to give it a chance and now I have used it everyday. It only cost me £2.98 and it gives such an incredible hold. It is super easy to wash out as well. I think this is what I will be repurchasing over and over again.

Lynx signature daily fragrance
I wont write too much about this as I have a post planned for this shortly. All I can say is I love it and I am using it daily which I totally didn't expect.

L'Oreal hydra energetic
Again I won't say too much as I have a post lined up however I am noticing a huge difference in my skins softness and my tattoo brightness.

No7 day cream.
I got this after seeing a blog post Zoella wrote a while back and I have to say I love it. My face has definitely got better after using this daily and I will be buying this again.

So there you have it those are my October favourites. What did you love in October? Do you have any product recommendations?  Let me know below.

This week

This week has definitely been a good one. Tegan and Sara finally announced their European tour dates for 2017 and I managed to get tickets for both Manchester and Birmingham.

I am surprised that I have also gotten so into blogging again and am having so much fun doing so. I have also begun Christmas shopping just so any money next pay day I can treat myself with.

This week I have.

Been watching : I watched the Rocky Horror show for the first time and it wasn't too bad. I have also been trying to catch up on Once upon a time.

Been reading : I have mainly been reading blogs this week but am hoping to start Rise of the Horde properly next week.

Been playing : I am hooked on Fantasy life so have been racking up a lot of time on this all whilst playing Fifa 17 too.

Been listening to : I am still not over seeing Nickelback so that has been on repeat alongside a mix of Tegan and Sara and Shura.

Bought : A whole lot more hair products that I will be posting about soon.

So there you have it that's my week. How has your week been?

Vinyl collection

I got my record player for my 21st birthday from my grandparent just over a year ago. Since then I have been very slowly growing my vinyl collection. I absolutely love listening to the vinyls and actually can tell the difference in sound between a vinyl version and a CD version of some of my favourite songs. I love just putting a game on and having a record spinning in the background. Here are the vinyls I have gained in the past year.

I absolutely love Springsteen. I began to listen to him after hearing Tegan and Sara cover dancing in the dark and I have been hooked since. For my 21st I got Born in the USA to go along with my record player, this was closely followed at Christmas by Born to Run. Whilst having a clear out my grandparents friends found the original dancing in the dark and offered me it. Obviously I couldn't refuse.

Whilst clearing out they also found and gave me the original copy of Thriller, New Kids on the Block and Bryan Adam's everything I do. I love all these especially the Michael Jackson one as I have always been a huge fan.

Next up is of course Tegan and Sara. I am aiming to get the full vinyl collection for these however they are so hard to get over here in the UK. If anyone ever sees one please let me know. So far I have got possibly one of my favourites which is The Con. I also managed to get hold of a copy of Live at Zia and of course I have had to buy Love you to death on vinyl.

For my 22nd birthday my parents managed to find me a copy of one of my favourite albums on vinyl. This is the Halsey Badlands pictured above. I have loved Halsey for a long time now so getting this was just perfect for me. Last year I also got the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack as this has to be one of my favourite movie sound tracks.

Finally is one of my favourite purchases of the year. Shura's Nothings real vinyl. I love this vinyl and the packaging is absolutely amazing. This is by far one of my favourite vinyl's in my collection.

So there you have it that is what I have so far. I can't wait to keep growing my collection over many more years to come. If you know of anywhere I can buy the vinyls please let me know.

Nickelback

So last week me, Liam and his mum went to see the amazing Nickelback. It was such a great day as you can see in the picture above we weren't happy when they neared the end of the set as we wished it could go on forever.

Nickelback are definitely a marmite band you either love them or you have them. Us lot for sure love them. I am already keeping a close eye on announcements for another tour. This tour saw them play some great his such as animals, far away and my two favourites Lullaby and Something in your mouth. The support we also great I hadn't hear of them until seeing them buy I will be buying their album in the future.

Below are just a few shots I got from the concert to show how close we were. We must have only been about 5 people away from the stage.

As I have said I can't wait to see them again as they are by far one of my favourite bands. Who are some bands you like to see live? Let me know in the comments below.

Autumn Accessories Essentials

Autumn is well and truly upon us which means packing up the summer clothes and cracking out the warmer ones. Every time the temperature drops I find myself reaching for specific items. Here are just a few of my essentials.

Warm Hat
In summer I always have my trusty snap back with me however as the temperature drops I swap this for my warmer hats. I currently choose from the Zelda hat above, my Tegan and Sara one or my mustard coloured one.

Scarf
I live in football scarves at the weekend however when I don't have a game to watch I will wear my grey knit one from Gametee. Which will be featured in a post soon.

Coat
Sometime it is ok to go out in just a hoody in autumn however when that chill does hit I love layering up. This usually involves my t-shirt and a shirt or hoody. I will then top this off with a jacket such as my new long line black jacket from Topman (images over on insta soon).

Shoes
It is Autumn when the trusty converse are brought out. To me this is essential yearly however this year I am going to try wear my Timberland style boots more and my Nike Hi-tops.

So there you have it those are my Autumn essentials. What are yours? Let me know in the comments below.

New in

primark pokemon tshirt
I promised myself I wouldn't go shopping when I got paid but guess what I did. I surprised myself however and didn't spend too much. First off I got a new tattoo which I will show you all soon. Then got some new bedding which isn't pictured as I stupidly left it in my boyfriends car. Then it was on to Primark where I got this great Pokemon t shirt. I love the stone wash sort of colour it has going on and will be great for layering during the colder weather.

l'oreal men expert tattoo

Next up is this tattoo reviver body lotion. I saw this over on the British Beauty Blog and knew I had to pick up a bottle. I can't wait to see if it actually works and makes my tattoos stand out just that little extra.

So there you have it that is what I bought over the past few days.

Vo5 texturising gum

I am sorry guys but it is yet another hair post. I promise this will be the last one this week. Today is all about the Vo5 texturising gum. I have been using this for a while now and I love it, I will use this one the days I can't be bothered to find the rework putty. Like the putty this doesn't leave your hair too gunky however does give it a great hold.  At great value I also have the bigger tub of this and I will repurchase again. I find some products leave my hair looking like it is stuck to my head however this doesn't it makes it look styled but natural with an added bit of texture.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Have you tried this? What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.

Vo5 texture rework putty

To be completely honest with you I had never tried a putty until recently. I got this miniature for when I went to Paris back in August. I have since repurchased a big tub for this due to the hold it gave me.  Vo5 is a brand I have always given a try and to be honest I love the products.

Even in the heat of Paris when my hair normal frizzes my hair didn't shift.  I honestly thought the putty would be sticky and visible in my hair however it didn't at all it blended right in whilst giving an amazing hold. Another thing that has to happen in a good hair product for me, is that it has to wash out easily in which this really does.  Another thing about this product is that it is also cheap and can often be found on the 2 for £5 deal.

Below is how the product styled my hair and even when I got back from a day in the Disney park it looked no different.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

So there you have it that is one of my favourite products at the moment, what hair products do you recommend as I am always on the look out for new brands to try?

New in

I promised myself I wouldn't buy myself anything new until next pay day. Well that lasted a whole 24 hours.

I have been wanting to try out the Lynx daily fragrances for a while now so when I saw they were only 3.98 in Superdrug I had to get one. I have got the signature one to try at the moment. This smells lovely but I will wait until I have used plenty of it and post a full review on here.

I had heard that Lynx did hair products a while ago however I had never seen them. So when I saw that these were only £2.98 I decided to pick up both clean cut and natural look. As you are all probably aware I am hooked on hair products so once I have properly tested these I will put a review post up on each.

Have any of you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Manchester City Women

Recently I have realised just how easy it is for me to go to Manchester and how cheap it is. This has been discovered due to the fact I am finally getting to go see Man City Women.  It has been a long time coming but in September I decided it was time for me to go watch and surprise surprise I am hooked.

Me and the other half have recently seen them win the league and win the Continental cup final.
At only £6 for a league game ticket and a return on the train only costing £8 a return its the ideal day out. You don't spend much but you get to watch a good quality game of football. Women's football is on the rise in the UK and the popularity is forever increasing, I am even hoping that next season I can get a season ticket to see these along side my Bradford City season ticket.

Below are a few images I got after they had confirmed their place of winning the league.

I can't wait to go back on the 30th of October for the final home game. Have you ever been to a women's football match? Let me know in the comments below.

Bluebeards revenge wishlist

Bluebeard's revenge is a site I have crept around on for a while now. Each time I go on I see a new product I want to give a try. Here I have done a small wishlist of the top  items I want to get my hands on.

Cooling moisturiser
It is after reading about this that I ended up on the site for the first time. I am currently on the hunt for a new moisturiser so this would do nicely at only £9.99 for 100ml I think it is a product worth giving a go.

Matt Paste
I have said in previous posts how many hair products I have, however I have also said I need to try out new products. This matt paste has also been on my buying list for a while and again at £9.99 a tub its worth giving a go.

Big blue bar of soap
Sometimes you just see somethings and think to yourself you need to give it a go. at £4.99 this soap looks like it will last me a while. Plus I have used the mint original source for a long time now and fancy a change.

Like I say this is just a small wishlist of the products I really want from the site. There are also so many accessories etc that I want but unfortunately money doesn't allow me. I am hoping to get some of these three products very soon so if you want to know more keep checking back for more posts. Also go check out Bluebeard's revenge to see what they have to offer.

Do you use any Bluebeard's revenge products? Let me know what you think to them in the comments below or over on insta or twitter.

Vo5 casual control fluff tamer

Since getting my hair cut short I have gone back to using more hair styling products. One of my everyday products is this Vo5 casual control fluff tamer. I was skeptical of using this at first as I was worried it would leave my hair gunky and a mess. However I was pleasantly surprised when I was proved wrong.

This has worked wonders at keeping my usually static hair under control. I will apply this once I have brushed my hair over all my hair, all you need is a little bit of this paste to cover it all.
It leaves my hair with minimal static and it doesn't break the bank either this was only £3.99 from Superdrug however I got an even better deal when it was on 2 for £5.  It is definitely a product I will buy over and over again.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My inspirations series #1

Everyone who knows me knows just how much I love football. I think I literally eat sleep breathe football. My Saturdays are literally spent following Bradford City, and now all my dreams are finally coming true and I am getting to finally go see Manchester City Women.

I began playing football at a very young age and went to plenty of men's games growing up. However women's games were hard to find at that time. I think in the 17 years I played I went to see one woman's game. But now thanks to the huge success World cup in 2015 women's football is seeing a huge breakthrough. A selection of women's teams even got added to the Fifa games.

Unfortunately due to a knee injury the doctors have told me I won't play again however I am determined to prove them wrong and get back on that pitch.

The women's game has definitely grown in popularity and here are a few players that are my biggest inspirations.

Lucy Bronze

Lucy is a great right back and was a stand out player in the 2015 world cup to me. Not only is she a great defender but she also great on the attack and is a proven goal scorer. She has recently scored the winning goal in the 2016 Continental cup final.  They say don't meet your idols however Lucy did a meet and greet at Bradford City earlier this year and it was amazing. She is so down to earth and is great to talk to.  Lucy has also had her injury problems in the past with her knees that is why she has become one of my biggest inspirations as she has over come those injuries to carry on playing.

Steph Houghton

Steph is a player I have followed for a long time. In fact it has been since her Leeds United days in 2007. Steph has been a huge influence in the women's game, she is a great leader for both club and country. From watching Steph she really holds her own in that defense, she keeps calm and really guides the team. Even my other half has said how good of a leader she is due to how she can keep the team calm and together in all sorts of different situations. Steph is another one who I have met in the past, at a Bradford City game where she was supporting her other half Stephen Darby. I didn't really get chance to speak with her for long however I am hoping to meet her again sometime.

 Jill Scott

Jill is an amazing midfielder. Just like Lucy I got to know about Jill through the 2015 world cup where she really amazed me. She is such a strong player and really holds the ball. Sometimes you see taller players who struggle to use skill and are just targets for long balls. However with Jill it is a totally different story the way she gets around defenders and holds up the ball is amazing. I am hoping that if I get the all clear to play again I can try get my game like Jill's and become a stronger player. I am also hoping that one day I can meet Jill for more than an autograph and have a chat to her about her technique and maybe get some tips.

So there you have it those are a few of my inspirations. I hope one day if I play again I can take aspects of each of these women's game into my matches to make me better and stronger than I was before my injury. Keep your eyes on the blog for more inspirations coming soon and maybe Jill,Steph and Lucy will be featured again on the blog.

Let me know in the comments below who some of your biggest inspirations are.
See you again soon,
