Last Week #2

We finally got a living room to sit in last week. Friday we had the carpets fit and Saturday whilst I was getting my hair done Liam put the sofas in place. We still have a bit to do in here but it is finally looking a lot more homely. I will be doing a post on here soon showing different stages just like I did with the bedroom post. I also managed to finally get my hair cut last week after leaving it for far too long. It is amazing how a new hair cut and a new outfit can totally change your outlook as when we went out on Sunday I actually felt happy with how I looked for a change. So here is what I have....

Been watching : I finally watched Pitch Perfect 3 and oh wow that is amazing I am so glad I actually went out and bought it. I have also watched quite a lot of YouTube, I have mainly watched Mr Carrington and Man For Himself as they are easily becoming my favourites.

Been reading : I have stuck to just laying in bed on a night reading the latest posts on my bloglovin feed, it is so nice just relaxing catching up on my favourite blogs.

Been listening to : Fifth Harmony and Dua Lipa have been back on repeat and I just can't get enough of them. I have also spent a lot of time listening to Camila Cabello's so far unreleased song Sangria Wine, it is absolutely amazing.

Bought : I managed to go stupid last week seen as it was payday. I got Pitch Perfect 3 seen as I missed it at the cinema. I also got a huge shark soft toy from Ikea because I seem to be obsessed with sharks lately. I then went to the White Rose to get my mums birthday presents and anniversary presents where I ended up with 2 new tops, 2 shirts for Liam, a new hoodie and a pair of Adidas, but more on those in a post soon.

Plans for this week : I want to get a little more of the living room done plus some more of the games room and bedroom as we are slowly working through our list of jobs to be done. I need to book in for the garage to be cleared too. I also want to have a night just taking pictures for the blog and getting posts typed up.

April Empties

I thought I had done quite well this month at working through my ridiculous stash of hair products and beauty products but in reality I really hadn't. Whilst moving it really has opened my eyes to how many products I haven't even touched. I am actually planning a post that shows our bathroom storage systems at the moment and all the products we have, however I think it will be quite a big post.

In the meantime, here is what I have actually have managed to use up in the chaos of moving everything around and unpacking.

Johnny's Chop Shop Hairspray - I have actually lost track of how many times I have posted about this hairspray but it really is my all time favourite. I got 4 cans for Christmas and I am now onto my final one, so I definitely need to head to boots and get stocked up again.

Vo5 Fluff Tamer - This is a lifesaver for me as it actually works. I use this daily to finish off my hairstyle as the parts that are shaved can get quite fluffy from time to time. I am currently on my last tin of this too so I need to go get stocked back up.

Lynx Unity - This is a new one that I am actually going to do a full review on. As you know by now I love my Lynx products so see this released around Valentines day I went and got a few cans and I love it. But more on that another day.

Zadig & Voltair for her - I absolutely loved this and it became my everyday fragrance. I am wanting a different daily fragrance at the moment however I know that I will definitely be getting this again in the future. The scent was perfect for me as it wasn't too feminine and certainly wasn't too masculine, I got so many compliments about this fragrance.

I am hoping to get a lot more products used up throughout May so keep an eye out for that post and if there is a product you want me to review let me known. Also if you have used any of these products what are your thoughts on them?

See you soon

Bedroom Makeover : Part 1

Other than the kitchen which was basically new when we moved in, we haven't actually got a fully completed room. However our bedroom is almost there, it is in a liveable condition with basically just a few little bits to do now. I think I am driving Liam mad as I am making list after list of jobs to be completed. So today I thought I would do a little post to show how things are progressing, this is part 1 and part 2 will be the room fully completed. Who knew actually choosing how you want rooms to look could actually be so difficult.

The carpet in the room is brand new and is actually the carpet which we are going to have throughout the house. I am totally in love with our wallpaper I love the books as me and Liam both love reading and it goes really well with the other grey walls.

The bed is the same one I brought with me from my parents but we have decided we will definitely be getting a new one once everything else is done. The Pokemon bedding is just temporary as I refuse to put our new bedding on until the room is fully completed. The curtains and lights are also ones that were left by the previous owner so I can't wait to get our own put up too.

It will also be great having my bedside table all nice and tidy without rubbish laying all over it and filling it due to us having nowhere else to store most things at the moment. I am on the look out for some nice matching lamps for us both too.

We got ourselves a big chest of drawers to store things that we didn't need to put in the wardrobe however poor Liam only actually has 2 drawers out of 6 due to the amount of clothes I actually own. I really need to have a clear out though especially with me starting to loose a little bit of weight. We have the cute little mirror from Asda already added because I was going mad without a mirror to do my hair in. Again though the top is just filled with rubbish and an old jewellery box which I need to change. The little picture my mum made us will also end up being moved downstairs as I really want it in the living room.

The wardrobe is the big thing in the room that is driving me mad. I really don't like these doors so as soon as we get chance they are being replaced with ones that look much better. We also need to add some shelves in there for some other clothes. As it stands the top of it is just filled with things for other rooms so once it is emptied I think it may just become bag storage because I have far too many backpacks.

It does seem like we have done quite a bit to this room but there is still quite a bit to do which includes:
Caulking around the edges
Install radiator
Get some nice lamps
Get a light
Change the curtains
Change the wardrobe doors
Add some nice pictures to walls

I am hoping that this all gets done in the next few weeks, so make sure you check back for part 2 once the room is completed. If you can recommend somewhere for nice pictures and lamps please let me know in the comments or over on Twitter.

See you soon

Last Week #1

Instead of doing a weekly round up post on a Sunday, I am now going to be doing a last week series on a Monday where I will round up the full week, so basically it is just a new name and new day. I will also be adding links to posts that I have done during the previous week. So last week was a fun one, I was at the football on Tuesday watching Bradford and we actually won a game, Saturday was spent going out for drinks on a girly day out topped off with watching the Guns and Roses Experience. I have to admit I had a few too many to drink which made watching Man City Women in the champions league the perfect hangover recovery. It was great being at the game with Lucy Bronze returning to the Academy Stadium and having such huge names such as Ademine Henry, Shanice Van De Sanden and Morgan Brian right in front of you.
Our living room is also coming along nicely and should be completed soon which means we finally have somewhere to sit other than the games room. To be honest the whole house is starting to take shape, with the games room and bedroom 90% done and the kitchen is fully complete. I honestly thing that in just a few months we can get the majority of things completed with the bathroom being the last big task that we really do need to save for. So here is what I have....

Been watching : I have watched a few football matches on the TV as well as watching them live, but other than that I have fallen back in love with YouTube whether I am watching a gaming video or a Primark haul, I have been loving it.

Been reading : With us doing a lot around the house I haven't really sat down and read anything. In fact I have only read blogs and a football programme.

Been listening to : I listen to plenty of music now with me walking too and from work. My current playlist is consisting of Fifth Harmony, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello and Hayley Kiyoko.

Bought : I spent surprisingly less than I thought last week. I got 3 football shirts, one for me one for my mum and one for Liam, 3 badges at Man City, Ferdinand on DVD and some lights for the living room. I am just so glad that this week includes pay day.

So there you have it that was my week. What have you guys been up to?

See you soon

Oops I Should Be Saving

Me and Liam had Friday, Monday and Tuesday off work last week and to be honest I went a little mad with the shopping. We headed into Bradford on Friday, then on Tuesday we headed to the White Rose in Leeds before heading back to Bradford seen as I couldn't find any plain white trainers in my size anywhere. I really am meant to be saving money as we have loads to do in the house but here is what I treated myself too...

I was in desperate need of some new jeans as my old skinny jeans were starting to get baggy and just didn't fit right. So as soon as I found these slightly ripped ankle grazers in Primark I was praying they would fit. To my surprise they actually did. So of course me being me I decided to get a pair in every colour they had as I love them that much. One pair even scanned through at £5.00 so that was an even better bargain. They actually fit perfect and I am hoping to do a few outfit posts that incorporate these. I also picked up a pair of plain black skinny jeans to wear for work.

I saw someone on Twitter post an image of this hoodie from H&M and it instantly reminded me of Halsey and her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom album. So I was really glad to find this in the Bradford store. It was marked up at £19.99 but scanned through at just £9.00 so yet another bargain. It fits brilliantly and is super soft so you can't really go wrong with it. Whilst in there I also had my eye on quite a few other hoodies and printed tops they had to offer.

After what feels like forever I finally have a copy of Hayley Kiyoko's album and I have to say I am already in love with it. I will be posting a review of this in the very near future so keep an eye out for that. Since buying this I have even gone back and watched Lemonade mouth again which Hayley stars in.
Whilst in H&M getting my hoodie I also picked up this checker board belt. I usually just wear a plain belt so I am hoping this will add a little extra to my outfit. Obviously I will stick to my plain belts for work but there were so many I could have bought.
If there was anything I really didn't need to buy it was more product for my hair but I have had my eye on this Johnny's Chop Shop volume mousse for awhile now so why not pick it up. I will post a review of this once I have tried it out for a while.
Finally my obsession with sharks is getting a bit out of hand. I have soft toys, a onesie, slippers and a lot of pairs of socks. But Liam treated me to these ones from Topman whilst he was buying some new ones. I have even seen a few other pairs I want but I will try refrain from getting them.

So there you have it. I would say I will try stop spending for a while but if you have read yesterdays post (if not you can read it here) you will see I want to update my wardrobe for the Spring season, so keep an eye out for more posts on what I get.

See you soon,
Lucy

Spring Wardrobe Wishlist

The good thing I have found about moving house is that before putting clothes away I can have a bit of a spring clean. Most of my clothes at the moment are just old plain t-shirts or jumpers so as I am putting items away I think I am going to have a clear out and only keep what I really want.

I actually can't wait to get shopping to completely freshen up my wardrobe as to be quite honest I am sick of wearing the same old boring outfits day in day out. Here are a few of the things I am hoping to pick up very soon.

  Denim Jackets
I have a denim jacket at the moment which has jersey sleeves but I am really hoping to add both a black and a light denim jacket into my wardrobe. These are perfect for when there is a slight chill in the air. I also think they look a lot better than my Adidas windcheater which I always rely on seen as these aren't too sporty.

Hoodies
I have fallen in love with so many of the hoodies in H&M at the moment, especially those in the mens department. They are just so comfy and add a little bit extra to your outfit with some of the fantastic prints they currently have to offer. I actually got one the other day which I am sure will feature on here very soon.

Long line T-shirts
Something else I want to add into my wardrobe is a couple of long line t-shirts. I have been after some good quality ones of these lately so I can't wait to get looking for them properly. I love the thought of having one of these t-shirts on hanging below my hoodie or denim jacket with my ankle grazer jeans. They are just very basic but can easily break up an outfit.

Plain white trainers
In my opinion you can't beat a basic pair of plain white trainers and I think I may have found the perfect pair in New Look. They are only £17.99 so I think I know where I will be heading. They just go with everything and look a little smarter than most branded trainers. They also have these in plain black but I am going to try be good and hold off with those. I also have my eye on a lovely pair of Tommy Hilfiger white trainers but I think I will be saving for those.

Vans Old Skool Black
Along with the white trainers I think it is about time I finally treated myself to a pair of Vans Old Skool trainers in black. I fell in love with these a while back and keep putting off getting them so I think it is about time I caved as they seem to go with any outfit.

No show socks
I usually stick to Nike trainer socks but I think if I do get the above trainers I need to invest in some no show socks. Especially with my new jeans I don't fancy having logos and socks on show all the time so these should work well. Although some days I will probably wear some printed socks.

Chinos
I have bought about 5 pairs of jeans this past week (post coming soon) but I want to mix it up a bit during spring and through in a few pairs of chinos. I am constantly in jeans so I am hoping these make a change and smarten my look up just a little.

So there you have it. That is what I am hoping to get to complete my little wardrobe makeover. I am going to start taking a shopping list out with me too seen as I always go off track and buy what I really don't need, like that Call Of Duty jumper I have worn once.

What are your spring wardrobe additions?

See you soon

Gigs I Really Want To Go To

I love going to Gigs, last year I went to Tegan and Sara, I actually met them too which was amazing (you can read about that here). I also went to see the Courtney's who were absolutely amazing and it was such an intimate gig as they aren't very well known here in the UK. This year I am already booked to go to see Nickelback in the next few weeks and Britney Spears in August which I really can't wait for. There are a lot of artists that I really want to go see in the future too, here are just a few of the main ones.

Demi Lovato
I fell in love with Demi back in 2008 when Camp Rock originally came out. I have listened to her ever since and currently have all the albums she has released. She is touring the UK later this year and I am really hoping to get a couple of tickets. If I don't get to this tour I will definitely be going next time.

Lauren Jauregui
I am obsessed with Fifth Harmony, I really wanted to go see them but obviously after the latest news of the hiatus this is going to have to wait until that hiatus is over. the only positive to this is that there is going to be solo music from the girls. Lauren is one I particularly can't wait for as I am in love with her voice. The couple of features she has done without the rest of the girls have had me hooked and I am already counting down to her solo tour and album.

Halsey
Halsey is someone I have wrote about before on the blog. Both her albums are perfect and I can't get enough of them. I wanted to go to her last shows in the UK however I couldn't get the time off work. Now she has announced a tour with just one UK date down in London, so it looks like I am waiting once again.

 Hayley Kiyoko
Ah Hayley Kiyoko, finally her album has been released, I feel like I have waited forever. Hayley first caught my eye when she starred in Lemonade Mouth, which is one of my favourite Disney channel original movies. I am hoping that now the album has been released a tour of the UK is in the pipeline, because I know I will be trying to get tickets.

Camila Cabello
I love Camila as you will probably already know if you have read my blog before. She recently announced her UK tour however there was unfortunately no shows near to me and I couldn't make it to the Birmingham date. To make things worse we were originally going to get Taylor Swift tickets but backed out when we saw the price, just a few weeks later Camila was announced as a support act. I am hoping I won't have to wait too long until Camila comes back again.

So there you have it those are the main artists I am hoping to go see. Who would you love to go see?
Let me know in the comments below or over on my twitter.

See you soon,
Lucy.
