Fashion Inspo : Meghan Klingenberg

If you don't know who Meghan Klingenberg is she is a defender for the USWNT and the Portland Thorns. She was part of the 2015 world cup winning brick wall and the 2017 playoff winning Portland Thorns defence. Not only do I love Meghan as a player but I also love her simple yet brilliant fashion sense. Her short hair always looks well styled too. Her style is pretty androgynous yet feminine. So here are a few of my favourite looks of hers....

I have always loved long coats. Meghan herself is not the tallest of people just like myself so seeing her pull of the long coat gives me a little hope that I can too. Wearing this open but layering up is one of the looks I could really see myself going for. Teamed up with ripped skinny jeans and trainers this is the perfect outfit for shopping or a smart casual event. Add in the watch and the outfit is really topped off with a smart vibe.

Meghan's hair is brilliant in this image. To me having your hair look good really does add to making the rest of your outfit look good.  I have been on the look out for one of these long sleeve tops with buttons for a while now so hopefully I will find one soon. I love how they look when they fit correctly. The necklace just adds a bit of something extra to the outfit team this up with a leather jacket some skinny jeans and trainers or Chelsea boots the whole outfit would look great.

Another look I love that Meghan pulls off really well is the layering up look. A plain t-shirt, hoody and denim jacket. Not only does this look good but it also keeps you nice and warm. It isn't too bulky either but would go well for a casual day out, shopping, or even a casual event. Again Meghan teams this up well with some skinny black jeans and pumps. This is one of the looks I am hopefully going to get pieces for in the near future.

My final favourite look of Meghan's is one that I seem to create every single time I go out lately. Plain t-shirt, blazer, skinny jeans and converse. This is one of my favourites as it isn't too smart and is casual for the sort of events I attend. It is also super comfortable making the time wearing this type of outfit a lot more enjoyable. I am hoping that in the near future I can move on from round neck t-shirts and move on to V neck ones. Once my confidence has grown as I aren't too keen on my skin.

Now that I am loosing weight and need to get buying clothes again that actually fit I am hoping to get the items to create these looks as they will do for different occasions as well as hopefully been pretty cheap to recreate.

What are some of your favourite looks to pull off? Let me know in the comments.
See you soon
