It is time to think about upgrading the wardrobe...

I have finally realised that my style doesn't really fit into one aesthetic and I am good with that. Sometimes I might want to put effort into an outfit and look a bit more put together where as other times I might want to opt for a more casual outfit with a bit of a streetwear vibe. I am planning on finally dressing for me going forward too and that means leaning into the tomboy/androgynous style I have always loved at long last and see what I can make work for me. For once I am going to stop letting other peoples opinions put me off wearing certain clothing and I am going to start buying what I like and wearing those items.

My wardrobe needs a massive overhaul going forward and the plan is to get that done ASAP so that I can start buying new clothing to fit the style I am aiming for and which will actually be suitable for when the weather begins to change which will be happening very soon here in the UK. Recently I have sat down and made note of the sort of items I want to add into my wardrobe over time and let's just say it is an extensive list which is going to need to be narrowed down over time however, here is a list of those items I am hoping to add into my wardrobe ASAP...

Rugby Shirts

I am seeing rugby shirts absolutely everywhere right now and I am loving it! I have always loved a good rugby style top so the plan is to have a shop around and maybe pick up some long and short sleeved versions for as the weather changes. I am hoping I can get a plain one, a striped one and even a graphic one but I guess we will see what fits best.

M&S Oversized T-Shirts

I got a white one of these a few months ago and it is the best white t-shirt I have ever had as it is nice and thick so you can't see through it. This was around £15 when I bought it which for the quality I think is fantastic so the plan is to get another fresh white one to add into rotation and then add a black one in and possible another colour too. These are just ideal for layering and are great basics.

Bound T-Shirts

I am obsessed with the company Bound and I have heard great things about the clothing they have to offer so my plan is to have a trip across to Manchester and see what I can pick up. I definitely want their Philadelphia Eagles t-shirt and a few more basics along with a striped option they have as I feel these could become a key part of my football matchday fits.

Exhibit-U Polo

This has been on my wish list for a while as I just love how simple it looks whilst also being more on the stylish side. This would again be an ideal piece for football matchdays that could be dressed up or down and help keep me warm as the weather starts to change. This is definitely on the more expensive side of things however, it looks like it would be worth it.

Exhibit-U Resort Shirt

Another item from Exhibit-U that is a bit more than I would ever pay for a shirt however, I am absolutely in love with this resort shirt they sell. This is a bit different to other shirts I have had in the past and just looks like it would be perfect for dressing up day to day outfits whether it is for a day out or a day in the office. It would also be ideal if I ever get abroad again too but who knows when that will happen again.

Colt Mcr Mohair Polo

Now I am absolutely in love with this polo as it is just so different and to be honest since the first time I saw it online I have been planning different ways to style this item and let's just say I have a lot of ideas in mind. Again at £60 it is on the more expensive side of things especially as I am losing weight however, I think it would be perfect for work and day to day in the upcoming autumn and winter months.

Colt Mcr Social Club Flannel

If you have followed the site for a while you will know that I love a good flannel shirt for autumn fits and this one ticks all the boxes for me. I already have outfits in mind for how I would style this so I think an order needs to go in ASAP. This would even look great bigger when I have lost some weight so it will last longer than other items on this list & I would certainly get my wear out of it.

Prohibited Belmont Harrington Jacket

I think I am in my jacket era as I have seen a lot that I would love to pick up however, this one from Prohibited is top of the top buy list. I can picture it now this top with a simple t-shirt underneath, some straight leg jeans or corduroy jeans and my Dr Martens... that alone is tempting me to make the purchase however, at over £100 I definitely need to think of more ways to wear this to justify the purchase.

Baggier Jeans

I am trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and buying baggier jeans I would certainly be doing so. Right now it is straight leg jeans or skinnier jeans but it is time to change that and finally start to experiment with some baggier jeans at last. These are definitely going to be something I shop around for so if you have any recommendations let me know.

M&S Straight Leg Jeans

For a bit of a smarter fitting jean I have found that the M&S Sienna's are the best option for me. These just fit so nice and last a long time. I should be able to get away with only needing to buy new of these when I really have to as even with a belt they will hold well through the weight loss. At around £28 a pair these don't break the bank either meaning I will definitely get my money worth no matter how long they last.

M&S Corduroy Trousers

Finally on the list we have the trousers I would happily live in through autumn & winter. These corduroy trousers have been a staple and it is time for me to purchase a few new pairs to see me through this autumn and winter as my older pairs are looking a bit worse for wear these days. I am thinking the usual brown and black and maybe one other pair but we shall see. These are just so easy to style and just look a bit smarter than the standard jeans.

Whilst I am doing the wardrobe rebuild I need to remind myself I am on a weight loss journey too to ensure I am not spending a fortune on clothing that may only last me a few months as I really start to make progress on my weight loss at last. Lets see what I can pick up before the end of year and let's get back into some fashion & styling content shall we.

There is no chance every item on this list is going to be purchased as I may try some bits on and just find they don't fit me right or suit that overall style so it is definitely going to be an interesting journey we go on to build this new wardrobe. I just need to remember the clothing is mainly for work or football so it needs to suit the situation.

See you soon

Welcome to project lock in

Welcome to project lock in!

It is finally time to lock in and build my dream life. The time has come to stop dreaming and start the process of making the dream become a reality which is definitely going to take a whole lot of hard work and discipline to get me to where I want to be.

After a lot of deliberation I have decided that I want to really focus on my life overall, my fitness, fashion, content creation and the football side of things.  These are all areas I really want to look at and improve upon as there is a lot of potential to massively improve on where I am at. I have set myself some pretty huge life goals lately (more on them another day though) however, I really need to lock in to achieve these, I need to get rid of the procrastination and just start getting on with things, I let my confidence hold me back but that is all going to change starting today.

One thing that I am going to do is turn this site into somewhere that I can document my journey of levelling up my life, it is going to be come a bit of a progress tracker where I document how I am getting on with the football side of things, how my life is changing, how I am finding my style and how my fitness journey is going. There is going to be a nice mix of content being posted on here going forward and for the remainder of 2026 I will be focussing on life, fitness and fashion content before reviewing where I want to take things in 2027 and beyond. I am looking forward to get back to creating on here though as I feel it is going to hold me accountable to making those changes to lock in and level up.

The project lock in series on this site is going to focus on the content creating side of things as this is going to play a big part in me documenting my journey and holding myself accountable.

I have recently started wanting to go all in on my Instagram to try make something of the channel and start building a community. I am stuck around 900 followers however, I am planning on locking in and working hard to work towards 1,000 followers by the end of 2026. The big focuses on this account are going to be finding my style so it will be filled with a lot of fashion content as I start dressing for myself not to keep others happy. It is also going to focus a bit on how I am planning to change my ways to live the life I have always dreamed of with a bit of luxury thrown into the mix. The account is also going to document me trying to build a football website and break into the world of women's football. This is definitely going to be a huge part of the account as I want to share the whole journey, the highs and lows.

Project lock in will be having a monthly wrap up each month until the end of the year with what has happened during the month, a wrap up of the goals I have set and goals for the month ahead. This will just be a good place for popping down my thoughts and I can look back on previous months to see what has been working and what hasn't been working.

So here are my goals for the month ahead

- Hit 950 on Instagram

- Post daily on Instagram

- Post every Monday to Friday on the website

- Start posting reels on Instagram

- Work 3 nights a week on content

- Start a football building series on Instagram

- Settle on all September's content

I am really hoping that this holds me accountable going forward and that I can finally start to see the development within myself and the areas I am really trying to improve upon. The remainder of 2026 is going to be all about putting foundations in place to make 2027 and beyond the best years yet.

It is time to lock in and see what the future holds...

See you soon,

Lucy
