It is time to think about what to add to the kitchen...

The kitchen is currently undergoing a long over due face lift. This has been a job on the to do list for the longest time and now 7 & a half months after moving into the house we finally have a blank canvas ready to add our own touch to the space. The kitchen was small and far too dark previously but we are taking it in the opposite direction, we have lighter cupboards & worktops and tiles to really open this space up and make it more inviting to spend time in cooking, something which I didn't like doing in the previous kitchen. The cupboards, sink and tap have arrived but here are the other items we are planning on picking up for the new kitchen...

Hisense Washing Machine

Finally it is time for a washing machine upgrade and we are looking at picking up this 9 KG Hisense one which is big enough for the two of us and has a mode for every occasion. The selling point for this was it having a sportswear mode as that is currently what I wash the most so it will come in super handy.

Hisense Heat Pump Dryer

We want the dryer to match the washer as much closer than this. With an anti-crease feature this would certainly make our lives much easier. This is a higher cost due to being a heat pump dryer however, it should pay for itself in the long run. The thing I am looking forward to most with this though is that it is so much bigger than our current dryer which should help speed up the washing and drying process.

Beko Pro Harvest Fresh

We have realised over the past few years that we don't really use the freezer as most of our food is fresh, we have certainly taken this into consideration when it comes to purchasing the new fridge freezer which is going to be a 70/30 fit to maximize the storage for fresh food. We instantly fell in love with this fridge freezer and hopefully having more space will help us with eating healthier.

Logik Dual Fuel Range Cooker

As soon as we discussed getting a new kitchen my sites were set on getting a range cooker however, unfortunately the space was too small for a 100 cm one so we have settled on a 90 cm one from Curry's. I am determined that the majority of my time now at home is going to be spent cooking healthy meals and also baking. All I can picture at the moment though is spending cosy weekends making a roast dinner in this cooker. I can't wait to have this purchased and installed.
Butchers Block & Chopping Boards

I have wanted a nice butchers block for a while so now it is time to make the purchase and I think I might splash the cash a bit to pick up one that is going to last. I am also looking at picking up some good quality chopping boards for the space as our old ones just weren't up to the job any more. The lucky thing this time around is we have somewhere to store these so we don't need to worry about space on the work surfaces.

Storage Jars

We are having a little bit of a pantry cupboard and I can finally create my perfectly organised food storage area with everything decanted and looking perfect. I need jars for cereals, pastas & rices then I think I am going to be getting some baskets for things like crisps and biscuits just so everything has it's home & is easily accessible unlike it used to be.

Fridge Storage

Things are going to be so much more organised than ever before in this new kitchen and that goes right down to organising the fridge too. I will be getting baskets for fruits and other little bits for cheeses, yoghurts and so on. I will be creating a fridge space of my dreams and making sure it helps me work towards my fitness goals rather than driving me towards ordering a takeaway.

Bread Bin

We are finally going to get a bread bin again after just having bread dumped on the side previously. It is undecided where this is going to live just yet but this one from Matalan is a definite purchase once I work out which colour I want. This is more than likely just going to be filled with Jason's sourdough and I am not mad about that.

Tea, Coffee, Sugar Set

Granted these are going to be going in the dining room for the coffee station but I will be getting these from Matalan to match the bread bin as I absolutely love these. It is undecided if they will be on display or in the cupboard but these are just what we need for finishing off the coffee station area.

Dinner Set

We are in the need of a new dinner set after throwing away our old one so the hunt is well and truly on. The plan with this is to purchase a nice plain set no fancy patterns or quotes like we have previously had. At the moment we have seen some we like in Dunelm, Tesco & Asda so hopefully we settle on one soon.
Stainless Steel Pans

We have binned nearly all our pans to start a fresh when the new kitchen is fit. For the fresh start we are going to be splashing the cash and finally purchasing the stainless steel set that we have been wanting for a long time. These are so expensive but should certainly be worth the money in the long run. Plus with the set we are wanting you get a bit of everything which is even better.

Stainless Steel Bowls

There is going to be a lot more cooking going on in the new kitchen and the equipment needs to reflect that. Gone are the plastic mixing bowls and we are going to look at getting some nice stainless ones which should last a lot longer and not stain if treated well. These will be more expensive but it really is a case of investing this time rather than buying and buying again.

So there you have it those are the items we are definitely going to be buying for the new kitchen. We still need to find a microwave, kettle & toaster alongside some blinds however, I think we are going to wait and see what colours will work best for these in the new space.

For now though it is time to finish off ripping things out of the current space and get fitting the new bits so we can start making the orders we need to. I am just ready for the chaos to end now and to get the new space completed.

See you soon,
Lucy

These things are going to become my whole personality going forward...

It is time now to really lock in if I am wanting to change my quality of life and hit the goals I am setting myself for the next however many years (more on those another day though). For this to happen life is going to be doing a 180 and things are certainly going to be going in a much different direction to where they are. Certain things are going to have to become a big priority going forward and other things may need to be left behind in order for me to grow and work towards those goal. Basically as I have described it to my other half is certain things are now going to become my whole personality going forward and if things don't fit that they are gone.

So here are some things that are going to be becoming my whole personality going forward to help me create that life I am chasing...

Skincare

Going forward I am going to be focusing on skincare and ensuring that my skin stays in great condition. I know that I am at my best when my skin is at it's best, something that is a bit surprising as I never used to be bothered about my looks. Going forward though I am going to be building a real skincare routine for both mornings and evenings with quality products not cheap ones. The plan is to keep on top of the skincare and keep the breakouts and bad condition skin at bay once and for all. It is time to feel confident in my skin and not wanting to hide away.

Working Out

I want to be in the best shape possible from now on and take my physical health serious rather than putting it on the back burner. Going forward working out is going to be massively becoming my personality and I will be in the gym as much as possible getting healthier and healthier daily. Even if I can't make it to the gym I will be out in the home gym getting a minimum of 45 minutes of exercise in daily and hitting a daily step target. For so long I have been told I can't lose the weight but it is time to prove people wrong... get in the best shape and keep it that way. I know that working out will help me feel more confident as my body changes but that time working out will also help massively mentally.

Eating Clean

To go alongside the working out I need to make sure I am absolutely nailing my nutrition too. Going forward takeaways and junk food are out and good clean meals are in. The plan is to stay away from ultra processed food, reduce the amount of sugar I am eating daily and really just refining my diet to make it as clean & healthy as possible. This will do me the world of good and should provide me with not only an energy boost but also a mental boost to help me reach towards my goals.

Working on Projects

For so long I have been putting off working on my projects due to procrastination or just laziness but that changes now. I am going to be getting out of my own head and diving head first into building my websites, social media & projects I am working on. This is going to be a big thing especially for me working towards those goals I have set long term so I really need to get knuckling down and stop delaying things for the sake of it. Expect to get sick of seeing me as I get my act together.

Curate the Perfect Wardrobe

Finding my style and what makes me feel comfortable & confident is going to become my whole personality until I have nailed this and curated the perfect wardrobe for every occassion. I will be searching high and low for the perfect items to add to the wardrobe to help me achieve the goals and make me feel more confident than ever. I have always been a believer of look good feel good so it is about time I started putting that into practice and dressing to feel good and feel comfortable. I am really looking forward to the journey of curating my perfect wardrobe and getting to try different brands.

Live a life of Luxury

Things are about to get an upgrade in life and I am so here for it. It is time to live the life of luxury as I work towards those long term goals as it is all going to tie in together. This is going to be accessories, travel and so much more and I can't wait to live the life I have been dreaming of rather than just sitting and thinking about it. I am so looking forward to seeing this coming together and hopefully I can get this to where I can help family live a life of luxury too (more on this again another day though). Once this becomes my whole personality though you bet there will no stopping me.

There you have it those are the things that are going to become my whole personality, fingers crossed all this does get stuck to and the knuckling down and changing things really helps me in the long run to achieve those long term goals.

Let's see how this goes shall we and if you want to follow the journey be sure to keep up to date on here and social media.

See you soon,

Lucy

October 2025 Pay Day Wish List

Christmas is very quickly approaching which means most of my October pay is going to be spent on purchasing gifts for my family however, I am hoping I can set some money to one side to treat myself too. Granted this wish list is a bit out there and I will be lucky to be able to afford even a few of these items but the wish list means I am buying what I really want rather than buying for the sake of it. There is certainly going to be a focus on home items when purchases are being made with this months pay due to us getting the kitchen done and us wanting all new items in here. So here is what I am hoping to pick up with October's pay...

Fashion

New Balance Trainers

I am currently obsessed with my New Balance 550's and they are actually one of the comfiest pairs of trainers I have had in a long time so I am wanting to add another pair of New Balance trainers into my rotation that is a bit different to the ones I currently own. The pair in the picture above is the front runner for a purchase at the moment as the silhouette is totally different to what I am used to and the colours just work amazingly together.

Nike P-6000

This pair of trainers I have been on the fence about for a while now however, I think it is time to make the purchase and I am hoping I can find a nice pair in the sale with October's pay. There are so many colourways for this model but I am going to have a look around and see which will suit my wardrobe the best, I need to make sure they are going to work with the clothing I already own.

Jeans

I am in desperate need of some new jeans as my current pairs are all getting too big for me. I am not planning on spending a fortune on these though as my size is changing all the time. Lately I have been loving the Primark straight fit jeans that are around £16 as they are baggy without being too baggy and suit the style I am aiming for so maybe a few pairs in different colours will be picked up over the next few weeks.

Plain T-Shirts

Whilst sorting out my clothing recently I have noticed that I don't have any plain t-shirts that fit me correctly so in October that is going to be changing as they are exactly what I need for my layered looks whether it is under a hoodie or under an open shirt. Again though these will be purchased on the cheap as they don't tend to last too long these days..

Plain Hoodies

I tend to opt for printed hoodies most of the time and I am just realising now that I don't have any plain ones which again would be great for layering and styling in general. I believe H&M & Primark currently have some great ones at reasonable prices so I think a trip is on the cards to pick up one or two. I just need to make sure I am buying ones that fit right and look good not just buying for the sake of it.

Fitness

Lifting Straps

Now I am taking my fitness journey more serious I am lifting heaving weights and I will be honest it is killing my wrists so the plan is to purchase a pair of lifting straps to see if they make a difference for me or not. I wont be spending a lot on these initially but maybe I will upgrade them a few months down the line if they do work for me.

Workout Trainers

I am planning on spending a whole lot more time in the gym when it reopens in November and I am hoping that I can get into lifting in the gym more. At the moment I wear my running shoes which I know are no good for lifting so I am eyeing up a pair of Nike Metcon's, let's see if I can find a pair in the sale to treat myself to.

Shorts

Now my size is changing I am finding that none of my shorts are fitting me correctly any more. With the gym reopening early November I want to make sure I have a new pair of shorts that fit right for the return. I think I am going to look in Primark or Sports Direct for these so I am not spending a fortune as they shouldn't be fitting me for too long.

Joggers

For going to and from the gym I am on the hunt for some cheap joggers again from Primark or Sports Direct just something comfortable for getting to the gym and home or for the home workouts in the home gym. I think a £15 budget for this should do the trick.

Home

New Pans

The kitchen renovation is well underway and a lot of the months purchases are going to reflect that. I am really hoping both me and Liam can chip in and treat ourselves to the stainless steel pans we have been wanting for a long time. These are certainly not going to be cheap but will definitely be worth it.

New Dinner Set

Our old dinner set is gone and a new one is needed however, we have been spoilt for choice. So far there are some nice ones I have seen in ASDA & Dunelm but I need to make sure I am not buying for the sake of it like I have done previously. I might need to set a budget for this so I am not spending more than I need to.

Storage Jars

We are having a bit of a pantry cupboard in the new kitchen and it is going to be my pantry of dreams with a home for everything that is nicely organised too.  The hunt is well and truly on for the perfect storage jars for this area for items such as cereals, pasta, protein powders. I am hoping we can get them picked up ASAP so that this cupboard is one of the first we fill.

Chopping Boards

The old chopping boards are gone and it is time for a real upgrade. For the new kitchen the plan is to get a nice butchers block and then some good quality chopping boards that are going to serve us well and not start to fall apart like our previous ones did. We actually have a space for these to go in when the new kitchen is finished and I really can't wait.

Slow Cooker Cook Book

We recently got a slow cooker and haven't used it yet. I am just so unsure what to make in this so I think that getting a cook book might help me actually decide what to use the slow cooker for. So far the front runner for a purchase is the Pinch of Nom one as I love these cook books but we shall see what actually gets purchased.

There you go those are the items I am really hoping to pick up with my October pay. There is certainly going to be a focus on bits for the kitchen but I am really hoping that I can treat myself too. For now though let's get shopping and see what we end up getting off this list.

See you soon

Things are changing over the next 12 months...

I have been doing a lot of reflection lately about life and the direction I want to be heading in and from today things are changing for the better. Gone are the days of procrastinating and here are the days of productivity and working towards those goals I have set for myself. If life keeps going the way it has then those goals are never going to happen therefore things are changing and things are getting done.

Over the next twelve months I am going to be really knuckling down to create habits that stick to set life on the path I have only been dreaming of up until now. Action is going to be taken and these twelve months are going to be the most productive and consistent yet! These months are going to be filled with self discovery, hard work and change. If all goes to plan in the next twelve months I will find my personal style, see this weight disappear for good and see my websites grow at long last. As I say it is now time to really knuckle down and get on with things and try get out of the procrastination I always find myself in. So here is a break down of just some of the things I plan on doing over the next twelve months to work towards creating my dream life...

Finding my personal style

This is one of the big things I want to have perfected over the next twelve months. I really want to get cracking on with this as soon as possible and not wait until I have lost the weight like I was going to originally. The plan with this is that when my sizes changes and I need to purchase new clothing, I will only be buying what aligns with the style I have been envisaging for myself. This is going to be much smarter and put together than my current style and will all fit into that whole life I am trying to create for myself. So here is how I am going to find my personal style in the next twelve months...

Find my clothing style

At the moment everything is mix & match and far too casual for my liking. I have in my mind though the perfect clothing style for me and that life I want to achieve which is going to be a total 180 flip to what I am currently at. I have Pinterest's saved, Threads saved and pictures from in shops ready to help me decide what clothing is needed to create the perfect style for myself and I am no longer putting off buying these items, I am going to be investing where needed and my day to day outfits are going to be leveling up. To help build that perfectly curated wardrobe to fit the new style I find for myself I will be making sure I am decluttering my wardrobe and selling items every few months to help lower costs and create the space for the perfect items rather than cramming everything into a wardrobe where 90% of items don't get worn.

Find my signature scent

Alongside finding my clothing style I want to find my signature scent. This might take a while but a good scent is a key essential and tied in with finding my clothing style I will be on to a real winner. There are a few fragrances I want to test out to see if they could become my signature scent and to be honest I am really looking forward to this journey as you can't beat trying a good fragrance. I think this is going to be across my social media and I can't wait to get started.

Sort out my hair and skin

Since growing out my hair I have never had a style to it and most days do the bare minimum with it however, over the next twelve months that is going to be changed. I am going to be taking time to find that style that suits me the most when it comes to my hair and each day I am going to actually take time to create that style rather than just running a brush through it quickly & leaving the house. As for my skin I really need to work on that too as the breakouts are getting ridiculous now and the dark circles under my eyes are getting darker day by day. Over the next twelve months I will be really working on nailing a skincare routine to get the breakouts under control and have my skin looking the best it has in a long time.

Weight loss

My weight loss journey is going to be a huge focus over the next twelve months as I am determined to push towards that end goal as much as possible. I know that due to how much I want to lose that I am not likely to hit my end goal in the twelve months however, I can have a solid twelve months of working towards this and get as close to the target as I can. Getting close to this target is going to be tough and require plenty of changes and here are some of the things that will be being worked on over the next twelve months...

Focus on the journey

So many times I am tempted with treats like takeaways & meals out however, over the next twelve months I will be cutting right back on these as I want to see the weight dropping and I know that too many takeaways or meals out and going to see the scale rise rather than drop, this goes for alcohol too, over the next twelve months I won't be drinking for the sake of it even if I am out at events I will be mindful of what I consume to help me with this journey. To focus on the journey sacrifices maybe required however, I just need to keep reminding myself they are going to be worth it in the long run. Not everything will be sacrificed though as things in moderation aren't going to effect the journey too much.

Nail my nutrition

Nutrition is going to be a big focus as like I said above the takeaways and meals out are going to be massively reduced. By reducing the takeaways I am going to be finding myself in the kitchen a whole lot more which is definitely going to be a good thing as I can make food from scratch and know exactly what I am putting in my body. The plan is to reduce the amount of ultra processed food we buy and make items like sauces from scratch going forward just to make sure we are eating what is going to fuel me not ruin me. For some strange reason I am actually really looking forward to getting into the kitchen and making some nice, healthy meals.

Hit all my workouts

Gone are the days of missing workouts for trips out, if a workout is scheduled in then it is happening that day. No more 'ah I will fit it in elsewhere whilst I go shopping', this then leads to the workout being missed and slows down progress which I don't want to happen anymore as I want to be making as much progress as possible over the next twelve months. The plan is to be at every football session possible over the next twelve months and then still hit three workouts a week between these football sessions. If I really knuckle down these amount of sessions are certainly possible and I should see some fantastic progress if all these sessions are hit weekly.

Be more active

I have just mentioned about the workouts I am hoping to hit every week however, it is time to be more active in general. I have become so lazy over the past few months and skip dog walks, leaving them to Liam so I will be bringing them back into play which should be a huge benefit as it will see my steps increase, something that is certainly required as some days I struggle to hit my 8,000 target. I want to get outdoors and generally moving more but I also need to work on finding a balance for this as there are other things I want to do which require being sat down for periods of time. Finding a healthy balance between being sat working on projects and moving my body should be super beneficial in improving so many areas of my life going forward.

Grow my websites

Over the next twelve months a big focus is going to be on growing my websites. Over the past few years these have been massively neglected and to be honest I have really missed working on them so for the next twelve months I am going to be really knuckling down to make some good progress with the sites all round and turn them into something to be proud of once more. So here are some of the things I am going to be doing over the next twelve months to grow the websites properly...

Dedicated specific evenings to work on each site

With three websites I tend to jump between each one and never finish off articles fully so this needs to stop. The plan over the next twelve months is to really knuckle down and use specific nights to work on each site, rather than jumping between content one evening will be dedicated to this site, one will be dedicated to the gaming site and then another will be dedicated to the football site whilst a few hours on a weekend will be dedicated to tying up loose ends which didn't get completed on the specific days. I am hoping this will help me with focus and stop the procrastination that has been delaying the creating of articles for the sites recently.

Put time into building the social media accounts for the sites

A lot of website promo comes from social media and the traffic that the relevant social media accounts drive to the website. Just like with the websites though I have also been massively neglecting social media so that needs to change too. I think I am going to block out some set time each week to batch create content for each account and hopefully this will help create consistency. I also need to remember to post links to any content on stories to help drive traffic towards the articles I have spent time creating. Consistency on socials should really help me see that growth I am hoping to see over the next twelve months.

Make sure I keep to a consistent schedule

To make the most impact I realise now consistency is going to be key and the plan for the next twelves months is to post every Monday to Friday on the websites, this means people know when to expect content from me and when to check the site for new pieces. This might seem like I am going to be needing to write a lot of articles each week however, if I create some mini series & stick to those dedicated evenings for writing articles then I should be able to carry this out and produce plenty of articles over the next twelve months. There may be themed days like a wrap up of my fitness progress or posts that are relevant to that week but all I know is I am going to become super consistent these next twelve months and really stick to that schedule.

Plan ahead so I don't burn out

To maximize the evenings for each site I need to know what I am going to be working on and not just winging it like previously. My plan is to have an evening towards the end of each month to just sit down and map out the sort of articles I will be writing for the next month and any social media posts I need to create for the following month too. This just means I know exactly what is coming up, what I need and how things are going to play out. During this I will also take a look at the analytics for the sites and social media accounts for what is working well and what needs changing up which can then be put into action for the following months content and articles.

Invest in my content

If I am working had writing articles and creating social media content I want to make sure that over the next twelve months I am also investing in my content which means upgrading my equipment where needed. I will be upgrading any software that is required to help my productivity & planning. An iPad is on the list too to help me more on the go and provide an extra piece of equipment on those content days. Even lighting will look to be upgraded to ensure the best quality social media content and article image. The big thing though is going to be my camera, this is going to get a major upgrade as I look to pick up a new camera as well as a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. This is going to be expensive but more than doable over the course of twelve months and they are going to be expenses that are worth it if they help towards the growth.

Around the house

Finally over the course of the next twelve months I am planning on getting a lot of work done around the house to create the perfect space for relaxing and unwinding in so that I am not finding myself drawn to heading out most evenings and weekends and where I can spend time working on all those things I have just mentioned above. So here are some of the things I am changing around the house over the next twelve months...

Whole new kitchen

This one is happening sooner rather than later and I can't wait. As I said when I mentioned nailing the nutrition I need to be spending time in the kitchen cooking from scratch, something I don't like doing in our current kitchen as it is too dark and cramped. The plan for this space is to make it brighter and more practical with cupboards items actually fit in and aren't overflowing. It will also have a fridge big enough for what we require & my dream cooker which is hopefully going to have me wanting to spend a whole lot more time in here. I can't wait to see the finished result in here and make it our perfect space.

New living room

Once the kitchen is done there is only the living room left to redecorate in the house to finally get rid of the grey and make it cosier. The plan is to have this redone in the next twelve months ready for next autumn & winter to be the cosiest months yet for us with a real fire being added into this space. This is going to be a fun project and I can't wait to finally have all the indoor jobs ticked off at last so that we can finally move onto the outdoor jobs which are going to cost a small fortune no doubt.

Create the perfect content creating space

The spare room in our house doesn't get used half as much as it should so over the next twelve months I am going to spend time turning this into the perfect content creating space. The plan originally was to turn this into a dressing room however, upon reflection it will be much better suited as a space where I can shut myself away to work on content either writing articles or filming for social media. I have a few ideas on my mind for this space so let's see how this goes and if my dream content space comes to life.

I am determined to make these next twelve months the best yet and really find myself in this time frame but I suppose only time is going to tell if this happens or not. Either way though I am looking forward to seeing what the year has in store for me and hopefully when I do a check in next year I can really see the improvements all round. Let's see how this unfolds shall we, it is time to start making these changes...

See you soon,

Lucy

October 2025 Goals

Here we go October is here and we are edging closer to the festive period, the countdown is now well and truly on. September didn't go to plan in terms of goals however, I am determined to make October a super productive month where at least three quarters of these goals I have set for myself are going to be ticked off as completed. The month is definitely going to be a nice mixture of things taking place and here are the goals I am hoping to achieve over the course of the next 31 days...

Fashion

Complete my wardrobe change over

The weather has definitely changed so now the sun is hiding and my holiday is over the plan is to get all my autumn winter clothing out of storage and swap the summer clothes back out of the wardrobe. I am really looking forward to doing this change over as this is by far my favourite season to dress for and it is also going to give me a chance to have a good declutter of my clothes as some items aren't going to fit me anymore so there is no point adding them to my wardrobe taking up space.

Complete the coat & shoe change over

Just like the wardrobe change over I am really looking forward to doing this task too as I have so many nice pairs of footwear for the upcoming months that I really need to get my wear out of so the sooner this task is completed the better. It is the same case with coats too as I have some really nice ones that have just sat gathering dust but now it is time to get them out of storage and level up my outfits with them.

Sort through my basics

It is getting a bit ridiculous in my basics drawer at the moment and it is becoming a struggle to actually close it at times. This is changing this month though and I am going to be ruthless if the item doesn't fit right, is fading in colour and just needs an upgrade they will be going and I will allow myself a bit of month this month to restock what is actually needed, there will be no buying for the sake of it though and that drawer will close with ease by the end of the month.

Start selling on Vinted

My to list on Vinted pile is getting bigger by the day and after the wardrobe change over I should have even more to list. Now I have no holidays coming up the plan is to get everything listed and hopefully make a few sales on the app to create more wardrobe space and earn some money to buy new clothes when I hit that goal weight. Let's hope things go to plan with this one and I can clear a fair bit of these items out.

Sort my jewellery out

My jewellery is still in need of that upgrade but before I do that I really need to go through and clear out some pieces I am never going to wear again. I might even get a few more of the PAX organizers for my jewellery draw as I have a small bit of free space. I am hoping to get this done nice and quickly and then I can take stock of where the upgrades need to happen so I can drop some hints for Christmas gifts to Liam.

Fitness

Eat less takeaways

September was terrible for eating takeaways just out of laziness and convenience which really hasn't helped my fitness journey lately so that is going to change. The goal for October is to eat as much home cooked food as possible and cut out the cafe trips on a lunch time in the hopes of making a difference to my fitness journey and see those scales go down.

Hit under the 100 kg mark

I am edging closer and closer to that 100 kg mark and I honestly feel like a month of sticking to my habits is going to help me hit this goal this month however, I think an absolutely brilliant month of sticking to targets would mean that I could see myself hit double figures at long last which is what I have really got my sights set on by the end of this month. Let's see how this one plays out.

Workout 3 times a week

To hit that weight goal above I am going to really need to be hitting a minimum of 3 sessions a week on top of my football sessions to get maximum impact alongside eating much better. I will be doing home workouts this month though due to my gym being closed for refurbishment so I really have no excuse to be missing my hour of exercise each day. I can't wait to get knuckled down with these sessions.

Complete 8,000 steps a day

It is time to get back into the habit of hitting plenty of steps each day to help me on my fitness journey. The goal for October is to hit a consistent 8,000 steps a day before looking at increasing it in the future. 8,000 a day is more than achievable for me if I stop being lazy so let's hope by the end of this month I can say this one has been achieved.

Track calories daily

When I track my calories I know exactly what meals work for me and what needs to be altered so I need to make sure I am getting into the habit of daily tracking again rather than just guessing and seeing the scales creeping up like I did in September. I am more than capable of doing this so let's make sure it is ticked off by the end of the month.

Life

Get my websites back on track

October is the month where I am planning on knuckling down on my websites. The plan is to post on each of the websites at least twice a week but if I can get ahead of myself a little bit I think I could possibly get more posted weekly but for now twice a week is much better than it has currently been. The websites are something I love working on and I have honestly missed posting so October is certainly the month to get back to it.

Post more on social media

Social media has been something else I have massively neglected recently and again this is going to be changing in October. The goal is to post at least 16 times on my accounts this month rather than putting off the ideas I have. It is time to be productive and get cracking on with things rather than delaying them from now on and posting to social media is a good place to start.

Finish another book

Whilst away I finished a book in record timing and really enjoyed it so the plan in October is to finish another book. The book I finished was a Life is Strange one and I have the follow on to that book to read so I think I might dive straight into it on an evening and see how long it takes to complete. I really want to start winding down on an evening and this would be the way to end the day.

Have two date nights in the month

This one doesn't need to be expensive it could be as simple as having a movie night together with no phones but I feel like having two date nights during the month would do us both the world of good. Lately we just don't seem to have time together we are always on the go, especially myself so the plan is to set some time to one side to enjoy our time together with as little distraction as possible.

Find a balance

One of my biggest priorities this month is going to be finding a balance in life to ensure I can get done what I want to without neglecting things or burning myself out like has previously happened. I really want to use this month to find a balance for my football, fitness journey, family life and content work so let's see how this one progresses.

Home

Get started on the kitchen

The kitchen is ordered and due to be delivered on the 22nd of October which is not too far away at all and the countdown is well and truly on. The plan in the build up to the kitchen being delivered is to sort through all the kitchen cupboards and get rid of anything we no longer need before starting to rip out the old units to make a start on the new kitchen. The installation of the new kitchen may not happen until November but let's hope for some good progress before then.

Keep on top of the washing

The wash baskets have got out of control and that is certainly going to be changing ASAP as I need to know just what I have got and what I can get rid of due to items not fitting me or not going towards the style I am opting for these days.  If I finally get on top of this I should be setting myself up for a bit more free time on weekends which is always an added bonus.

Find our new kitchen appliances

With us having the new kitchen the plan is to get all new appliances too so to get ahead of ourselves the plan this month is to find everything we need such as a fridge freezer, range cooker, washer and dryer. I am just hoping that getting these sorted nice and early on will save a lot of stress down the line when it comes to fitting the kitchen and adding the finishing touches.

Sort the games room

Last month we never got around to sorting the games room and to be honest it annoyed me a little as I had high hopes for spending more time in there playing on the older consoles but I couldn't do that as the consoles were still somewhere up in the loft. An evening after work sorting this room would definitely get this ticked off the list so let's see if it happens or not.

Decide what we are doing with the spare room

This is something I want to have ticked off before the end of the month as I keep changing my mind on what I want to do with this space. Currently the space is a bit of a home office but in all honesty it is a dumping ground for junk and I barely use it. To maximize use of this room I am very tempted to turn it into a bit of a walk in wardrobe where I can finally stop sharing the tiny wardrobe with Liam and have plenty of space for my own clothing to be in one place and easy to find. I will post more on the plans in a post another day but I really do need to decide if this is going to happen first or not.

There you go those are my goals for the month of October. Let's hope things go to plan and I have a really productive month and can say that three quarters of these goals are complete and that I am seeing a difference on my fitness journey. Only time will tell how well this month is going to go but fingers crossed we have a positive wrap up at the end of the month.

See you soon,

Lucy
